An interactive 4-day short training course entitled, “Public-Private Partnerships (PPP): Training for Facilitators” will be held from 17-20 July 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The objectives of the training course are to:
- Enhance participants’ knowledge on effective urban investment programming and financing in preparation of the formulation of strategic and bankable infrastructure projects under different PPP modalities;
- Collect feedback from CDIA partner organizations on the relevance and usefulness of the CDIA PPP training module; and
- Identify strategies for localization and roll-out of the training materials.
This CDIA training short course is the pilot of a series of PPP trainings to be co-developed and localized by CDIA’s partner organizations in their respective countries and will be conducted by PPP experts with wide educational international experience in the sector.
The goal is to set a trial for the documents and contents elaborated by the experts based on the Public Private Partnership Guidelines for Municipalities published by CDIA. The training has been designed to roll-out CDIA’s PPP Guide for Municipalities by providing a clear understanding of the concepts, modalities, and approaches to implement PPPs.
